I started my love affair with reptiles when I was just a little kid. That didn't go too far because my mom was/is deathly afraid of snakes. It wasn't till I was around 14 years old, that I got my first reptile, a ball python. From there, I went on to keep all different species of monitors. Then I saw my first picture of a Dream Line chondro that was on Greg Maxwell's site!

If not mistaken, I sold all my monitors within 6 weeks. I did a great deal of research on chondros before I got my first one. For the past 9 years, I have pretty much just kept chondros.

I try to go field herping whenever I get the chance to do so. I've got some great friends here in Texas, who share the same affinity for chondros and reptiles, as I do. For that, I am very thankful and lucky. If I was to get into something besides chondros, I think it would have to be Amazon Basin Emeralds. While I don't think they're on par with chondros....they're almost there!
